President Lula said on the 14th Brazil will decide after October’s presidential
election whether to accept US President Trump’s nomination of Daniel Perez as
ambassador to Brazil. In a media interview he accused the US of attempting to
interfere, noting the nomination came 45 days before the vote after the post had
been vacant for more than a year and saying the timing suggested electoral
meddling.
