Head of Iran's Energy Optimization Organization outlined three gasoline
allocation options: 1) keep pump prices unchanged but cap total allocation at
121 mln liters; once the cap is reached pumps will close; 2) allocate daily
production of 121 mln litres to vehicles, with any demand above quotas charged
at free-market prices; 3) issue 30 liters per person per month quotas to the
public, with quotas transferable and tradable.
