The legislature passed an anti-infiltration bill to counter infiltration by hostile
intelligence agencies and foreign governments or organizations. Hassan Kashkavi,
spokesman for the parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee,
said existing laws address espionage but left a legal gap on anti-infiltration
that the new bill is intended to fill.
