Politico reported Attorney General Todd Blanch said on Sunday he is willing to
disagree with the president on legal matters and that Trump expects cabinet
members to differ when necessary. Asked whether he would refuse the president’s
preferred course if his legal view differed, Blanch said, "I think he would
expect me to tell him 'no.'" He declined to commit that the Justice Department
will "always act independent of the White House," adding, "No, I will not make
that promise, and no attorney general should make that promise."
