At the open, China’s main futures contracts were mostly higher. Polysilicon led
gains, up about 7%. Container shipping on Europe routes climbed over 3%.
Synthetic rubber and ethylene glycol (EG) rose about 3%. p-xylene, low-sulfur
fuel oil (LU), benzene, styrene (EB) and SC crude gained more than 2%. Decliners
included stainless steel (SS) and red dates, which slipped modestly.
