Wells Fargo says JP Morgan is likely to become the first bank with a market value above $1 trillion, and it maintained an overweight rating while raising its price target to $390 from $375, implying more than 7% upside to last Friday’s close. Analyst Mike Mayo wrote in a Thursday client note that JP Morgan’s “top-tier investment capabilities” could not only help it pass $1 trillion but could see it reach $2 trillion in about 7–8 years. Mayo cited share gains across major businesses, operational optimization, steadier profitability versus global peers, and the CEO-defined “robust balance sheet” as supporting factors.
