At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts rose, with container shipping to Europe up over 10%, ethylene glycol (EG) up over 6%, PTA up over 5%, synthetic rubber and benzene up over 4%, and paraxylene, SC crude oil, and styrene (EB) up over 3%. On the downside, corn and starch fell over 1%.
