Ukraine said Russian forces struck 16 locations across Sumy, Odesa, Kharkiv and
other regions overnight from the 16th into the early hours of the 17th, killing
at least two people and wounding 11. The Ukrainian air force said Russia
launched 128 drones; by 08:30 on the 17th Ukrainian air-defence units and
electronic-warfare forces had intercepted 106. The State Emergency Service
reported residential buildings in Sumy were hit, causing the two deaths and one
injury.
