Saudi Arabia is offering cargoes loaded off the coast of Oman, suggesting it may be following the UAE in routing more oil via transshipment rather than conventional Strait of Hormuz shipments. Sources say Aramco is supplying ship‑to‑ship cargoes loaded at Gulf of Oman ports such as Sohar. The cargoes are Arab Medium and Heavy grades, pointing to Persian Gulf origin. In March Aramco CEO Amin Nasser said the Yanbu pipeline mainly carries Arab Light and Extra Light, while near‑shore Persian Gulf fields supply the kingdom’s medium and heavy barrels. Aramco declined to comment.
