Trump said the United States is not seeking to extend its memorandum of
understanding with Iran. He said Iran wants a deal but would not accept what he
called "necessary" terms. Trump again floated declaring the Strait of Hormuz US
territory and reiterated US control of the waterway. He said the strait remains
open and that oil prices are falling.
