Jared Kushner, after meeting Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in Jerusalem, told
Fox News he expects a Gaza demilitarization process could begin within 30 days,
with partial weapons removal immediately and tunnel removal/burial over the
following 60–90 days. He warned that if Hamas fails to meet commitments, the
U.S. and other parties would provide stronger support to Israel. Kushner said
the U.S. will not permit Gaza reconstruction before demilitarization and would
not restrict Israeli self-defense if faced with an imminent threat.
