Wenchang International Space City said commercial launch pads 1 and 2 are now in
Routine operation and its satellite super-factory has entered trial production.
Sea recovery platform and telemetry/control systems are being accelerated. Pads
3 and 4 are expected to be launch-capable by year-end, with the factory’s first
satellite scheduled to roll off concurrently. Major rocket-chain projects by
domestic commercial launch firms including China Commercial Rocket, Kuaizhou
Space, Tianbing Technology and Jiayuan Technology have begun construction.
Upgrades to transfer roads and transport docks are underway to build
high-density, high-reliability, low-cost commercial launch capacity to support a
planned 'hundreds of rockets, thousands of satellites' deployment.
