China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance said July combined
production of power and energy-storage batteries was 218.0 GWh, up 5.8% MoM and
62.9% YoY; Jan–Jul cumulative production 1,286.9 GWh, +54.9% YoY. Combined July
sales were 185.2 GWh, down 5.5% MoM and up 45.5% YoY; Jan–Jul cumulative sales
1,164.6 GWh, +48.1% YoY. July power (traction) battery sales were 129.1 GWh
(69.7% of total), down 3.3% MoM and up 41.6% YoY; energy-storage battery sales
were 56.1 GWh (30.3%), down 10.3% MoM and up 55.4% YoY. Jan–Jul cumulative power
battery sales 790.4 GWh (67.9%), +37.1% YoY; cumulative storage battery sales
374.2 GWh (32.1%), +78.6% YoY.
