Sichuan provincial statistics bureau said on the 18th that above-scale
industrial value-added rose 6.6% YoY in Jan–Jul; product sales rate was 95.3%.
By sector, mining +5.4% YoY, manufacturing +6.5%, utilities (power, heat, gas
and water production and supply) +7.9%. By ownership, state-controlled +6.4%,
joint-stock +7.1%, private +3.6%. 33 of 41 major industries expanded YoY; top
gains: electrical machinery & equipment +11.8%, computers/communications & other
electronic equipment +10.7%, power/utilities +7.9%, chemical raw materials &
products +7.5%, pharmaceuticals +6.8%.
