Craig said BHP remains committed to a global, tradable seaborne commodities market and an efficient price-formation mechanism driven by marginal tonnes, which helps signal iron ore investment timing and meet global steel customer demand. He said the position is unchanged and the company will continue to press for floating pricing and market-based operation.
