Russia’s foreign ministry spokeswoman Zakharova said a drone explosion at a bus
stop at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant on the 18th was carried out by Ukrainian
forces to obstruct an IAEA director‑general Grossi visit scheduled for the
20th–21st. Zakharova said Kyiv has repeatedly targeted the plant and its staff,
and that the latest strike also hit vehicles carrying IAEA Secretariat
representatives; she warned Western political support for Ukraine is encouraging
“more reckless” actions that could raise the risk of a nuclear disaster with
potentially catastrophic global consequences.
