UBI Research said on the 19th global small‑size OLED panel shipments fell to 230
million units in Q2, down 4.6% YoY and 0.2% QoQ — the third consecutive QoQ
decline since Q3 last year. Q2 market revenue was $8.9bn (≈KRW 12.5 tln), also
down YoY. UBI attributed the weakness to a sharp rise in memory‑chip prices that
has weighed on global smartphone sales and reduced demand for small panels.
Among major suppliers only Samsung Display posted significant shipment growth,
driven by Samsung Electronics’ launch of the new Galaxy Z8 foldable series.
