Chery will open a passenger‑car R&D center in the UK in late autumn to deepen
its market expansion. The company has become one of the fastest‑growing Chinese
carmakers in the UK. In July, Chery reported global sales of about 280,000
vehicles, including roughly 202,000 exports, up 70% YoY — the first Chinese
automaker to exceed 200,000 exports in a single month.
