China's State Council approved the People's Bank of China and the Reserve Bank of Australia have renewed a bilateral local-currency swap, expanding the line from CNY200 billion/AUD41 billion to CNY220 billion/AUD46 billion. The five-year agreement is extendable by mutual consent and is intended to deepen monetary and financial cooperation, facilitate bilateral trade and investment, and support financial market stability.
