KCNA reported on the 19th that Kim Yo‑jong said she “knows nothing” about
Washington reports of recent communications between North Korean and U.S.
leaders. She said U.S. hostile policy toward North Korea has not changed and
that the U.S. and its allies continue substantial hostile military activity,
adding that, despite reportedly good relations between the leaders, North
Korea’s sovereign measures to counter threats to its security are reasonable,
appropriate and necessary.
