OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar told staff at an all‑hands the company expects to be a
public company in 2027 but could list earlier if growth accelerates. She said an
IPO is a milestone and a means to raise capital rather than an endpoint, and
that OpenAI completed $122 bln of financing in March, giving it greater
flexibility for future development.
