JLL said in an Aug. 20 report Q2 2026 APAC commercial property investment reached US$45.5bn, up 38% YoY; 1H investment totaled US$92.5bn, up 35%, the strongest first-half transaction volume on record despite energy-driven inflation, currency volatility and supply-chain disruption. Mainland China Q2 commercial investment was US$4.8bn, down 6% YoY; 1H US$8.5bn, down 8%; office transactions were the most active sub-sector. Hong Kong investment rebounded sharply: Q2 US$3.1bn, up 129% YoY; 1H US$4.7bn, up 90%. Domestic investors continue to dominate and liquidity for prime assets in major Chinese cities is gradually improving.
