Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said at a regular briefing on Aug. 21 that
Beijing has noted Japanese ruling and opposition lawmakers expressing concern
about bilateral ties and offering to help improve relations. He urged Japan's
leaders to heed those voices, adhere to the principles of the four China‑Japan
political documents, and take concrete actions to create the necessary
conditions for normal exchanges.
