iFlytek said it will release a new flagship general-purpose large model trained
on wholly domestic compute. President Wu Xiaoru said the model will rank in
China’s top tier for coding capability and token cost-efficiency and will lead
domestically on key metrics among models trained on domestic compute. Edge
deployments will target in-car and robotics scenarios. A staged version is
scheduled for release at end-August.
