Critical Metals CEO Tony Sage said the Tanbreez rare-earth project in Greenland is proceeding on schedule and is expected to begin production within three years, targeting a 2029 start. The U.S.-listed company said it has local community and government support. To ease local concerns and house mine staff, the company bought a cruise ship that is due on site within two months. The project has drawn sustained attention over the past 18 months amid President Trump’s push to secure critical minerals, including rare earths, and his previous threats to pursue acquisition of Greenland.
