Fox News reports President Trump urged governors and local officials to welcome
construction of AI data centers, saying such projects would create substantial
construction jobs and generate significant tax and other revenue. He added that
if he were a mayor or governor he would want a large AI plant or data center to
locate in his jurisdiction, and that the AI industry needs some public-relations
help given local opposition to data-center sitting.
