Apple (AAPL.O) is cutting more than 200 roles across teams supporting Siri and
the Vision Pro headset as it reallocates resources to AI and new hardware,
people familiar with the matter said. About 100 Vision Pro positions were
eliminated, including the near‑closure of a Vision Pro gaming team and
downsizing of a group producing immersive video content; roughly 100 roles were
cut in Siri and related software, including the Intelligent Systems Experience
team within software engineering that develops on‑device AI features. Apple said
it is adjusting some teams to advance the business and deliver the best user
experience.
