production for four days. Officials, citing security, declined to name the
facility but said it is relatively small and the outage did not affect UK-wide
electricity supply or energy production; staff worked to restore operations. The
incident coincided with last month’s series of attacks on US water
infrastructure that affected 12 states and drew White House attention. The UK
government has briefed power-company CEOs and sent letters with advice, guidance
and next steps to firms.
