Goldman Sachs says the 2026 World Robot Conference shows the humanoid-robot industry shifting from technology demos to commercialization and ROI validation. Corporate discussions are focusing on measurable KPIs—task completion, throughput, runtime and payback period—consistent with real-world application testing. Logistics parcel sorting is the clearest early commercial use case, with targets cited of about 1,300–1,800 parcels/hr, ~95–98% success rate, >10 operational hours/day supporting three shifts, and equipment design life of roughly 4–5 years. Goldman expects small-batch volume by end‑2026 and larger-scale production in 2027; commercial rollout will depend on whether projected ROI materializes. (Goldman Sachs report, Aug. 23)
