Goldman Sachs believes that the 2026 World Robot Conference demonstrates that the humanoid robot industry has clearly shifted from "technology demonstration" to commercialization and ROI validation. Companies are focusing their discussions on quantifiable metrics such as task completion rate, work efficiency, runtime, and payback period, indicating that the industry is entering a real-world application validation phase.
Among these, logistics sorting has emerged as one of the clearest early commercialization directions. Current company goals include processing approximately 1300-1800 packages per hour, a success rate of approximately 95%-98%, operating for more than 10 hours per day with three shifts, and a design life of approximately 4-5 years. Goldman Sachs predicts that this scenario will enter small-batch production by the end of 2026 and larger-scale mass production in 2027, with the commercialization pace primarily depending on whether the actual ROI is realized.
