Iran said it has blacklisted 45 tankers for violating its Strait of Hormuz
transit rules and will act against any vessels that transship cargo with them.
The newly formed Persian Gulf Strait Management Bureau said the named ships
could face fines, seizure and confiscation of cargo. The announcement on Sunday
evening comes six months after the outbreak of war and further escalates threats
to the key waterway.
