Beijing, Aug 24, 2026 — Chinese premier Li Qiang met Jordan's King Abdullah II
and said China is willing to deepen development alignment with Jordan, advance
high‑quality Belt and Road cooperation, and expand and upgrade bilateral trade.
Li highlighted plans to broaden cooperation in green energy, electric vehicles,
the digital economy and technology and industrial innovation to produce more
tangible results. He said China will work with Jordan and other relevant parties
to help cool recent Middle East tensions and pursue long‑term stability, and
urged Jordan to promote deeper China‑Arab collective cooperation.
