Aug 24 — The OECD said preliminary data show GDP for OECD members rose 0.5% QoQ
in Q2 2026, up from 0.4% in Q1. G7 GDP slowed to 0.3% QoQ in Q2 from 0.4% in Q1.
Germany and Italy each grew 0.2% QoQ; Japan 0.3%; the UK and US 0.4%. Canada
accelerated to 0.8% from 0.0%; France moved from -0.1% to 0.2%. Of 30 OECD
members with data, 27 posted QoQ growth and three were flat. OECD-member GDP
rose 2.3% YoY in Q2 versus 1.7% in Q1.
