According to the Iranian Students' News Agency, the chairman of the Tehran City Council stated that when subsidies for diesel or gasoline cease, the government should transfer these subsidies and provide other forms of support; they had previously promised this. The government should allocate these subsidies to the subway system, or purchase new buses or other new equipment. Demanding the relocation of oil reserves is difficult because they say the reserves must be preserved so that replacements can be carried out quickly.
