At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts declined, with lithium carbonate falling over 6%, container shipping to Europe down over 4%, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) down nearly 3%, and apples, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), and live pigs down over 2%, while eggs and polysilicon fell nearly 2%. On the upside, benzene, staple fiber, bottled chips, paraxylene, methanol, asphalt, styrene, and industrial silicon rose over 1%.
