Japan's Prime Minister TAKAICHI said on Tuesday she has instructed relevant ministers to prepare measures to maintain gasoline price subsidies. Since mid-March the government has subsidized oil wholesalers to keep average retail gasoline around ¥170/liter (≈$1) after crude rose amid the Middle East conflict.
