Qatar's foreign ministry spokesman said Doha opposes Iranian attempts to draw
regional states into war in response to third‑party attacks and that Gulf states
have fully coordinated on potential escalation scenarios. The ministry said the
Strait of Hormuz should be returned to its pre-crisis status and stressed the
necessity of freedom of navigation.
