CPCA reported Aug 1-23 China passenger car retail sales of 956,000 units, down
22% YoY and down 2% versus the same period in July; year-to-date retail stood at
11.129 mln units, down 20% YoY. NEV passenger car retail reached 614,000 units
in Aug 1-23, down 12% YoY and down 2% versus the same period in July;
year-to-date NEV retail was 6.283 mln units, down 12% YoY. NEV retail
penetration was 64.3% and manufacturer wholesale NEV penetration was 70.5% for
Aug 1-23.
