IRIB reports Iran’s deputy foreign minister said Tehran and Oman have reached a temporary understanding on navigation through the Strait of Hormuz: inbound routes into the Persian Gulf will transit Iranian waters, outbound routes will transit Omani and Iranian waters, and military vessels will be barred — only commercial shipping is permitted. The arrangement is temporary and does not constitute an immediate reopening; Iran and Oman will negotiate a permanent route over the next 30–60 days. Iran warned the strait will remain closed unless its conditions are met, listing demands including an end to all hostilities (including on the Lebanon front), lifting blockades, a resolution of Yemen, and full US compliance with prior commitments. Iran rejected US claims it had cleared sea mines as propaganda and said it would strike US mine-countermeasure vessels entering the area.
