Following public attention to reports that a pest-control firm in Xiamen, Fujian
illegally used dichlorvos to disinfect catering outlets, the State Council
Office for Food Safety has placed the case under priority supervision. It said
it will form a joint working group with the State Administration for Market
Regulation and the National Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention to conduct
on-site supervision and guidance of case handling, punish violations in
in accordance with law, and carry out risk screening to protect food safety.
