Kuwait and Qatar are raising crude shipments via the Strait of Hormuz, aiding a
rebound in waterway flows. Traders say the two producers together exported about
2.0m bpd before the Iran conflict and are now at roughly 70% of that level
(~1.4m bpd). The UAE was first to resume large-scale Hormuz exports using
ship-to-ship transfers in the Gulf of Oman; Saudi Arabia has since joined.
Traders estimate roughly 7–8m bpd currently transits the Strait, up from about
4m bpd in mid-July and about three-quarters of pre-conflict volumes. Vortexa
said on Monday flows via the waterway were approaching 10m bpd.
