The U.S. Naval Academy stated that the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier is preparing for a deployment to the Middle East lasting more than seven months, as the U.S. war with Iran continues.
Admiral Daryl Caudler, Commander of Naval Operations, and Chief Cadet John Perryman said on Wednesday that the USS Theodore Roosevelt, its escort ships, and Carrier Air Wing 11 will soon replace the Japanese-flagged aircraft carrier USS George Washington (deployed to the Middle East), which entered the U.S. Fifth Fleet area last week.
