Iranian President Peskhziyan stated that Iran did not instigate war in the region, but rather "firmly resisted aggressors." He said, "The United States and Zionist entities waged war against Iran." He also reiterated Iran's consistent position that Iran should not be a target of attacks from its neighbors, nor should its neighbors be used to launch attacks against Iran. Peskhziyan stated, "No Muslim country should seek its own security at the expense of its neighbors; the territory of no Muslim country should be used against another Muslim country."
