China's Ministry of Water Resources said a visible landslide-dammed lake has
formed near the confluence where Nepal's Cuojian River joins the Puzhepqiang
Zangbu. Estimated volume reached about 2 mln cubic meters as of this morning and
the lake is already overflowing; roughly another 3 mln cubic meters is expected
to enter the lake over the next three days, leaving a high risk of breach. The
ministry is closely monitoring the dammed lake and running flood/breach
simulations to support emergency response.
