Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian, at a regular briefing, said China has noted
U.S. reporting on alleged Chinese hacking. He said China firmly opposes and will
lawfully crack down on hacking, but strongly objects to politically motivated
dissemination of false information. The U.S. "statement," he said, lacks
evidence and misrepresents facts; China expressed strong dissatisfaction and
firm opposition to the U.S. using cybersecurity as a pretext to smear China.
