saying a U.S. maritime blockade is preventing Iran from importing enough
gasoline to offset domestic shortfalls. The vice‑president said gasoline
production is insufficient and imports are blocked; motorists have been queuing
at petrol stations in recent days. The president’s office said the government
will review gasoline rationing. Comments come as hostilities with the U.S.
continue and economic pressure on Tehran increases.
