The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released telecom-sector data
for Jan–July 2026. As of end‑July, China’s internet broadband access ports
totaled 1.27 bln, a net increase of 21.52 mln from end‑2025; FTTH/O ports were
1.23 bln, net +19.35 mln, accounting for 96.7% of broadband ports. 10GPON ports
(gigabit-capable) reached 33.04 mln, net +1.417 mln from end-2025. 5G base
stations totaled 5.154 mln, net +0.316 mln from end-2025, representing 39.4% of
mobile base stations, up 0.3 ppt versus 1H 2026.
