A regular all-cargo service between Chengdu Tianfu and Addis Ababa launched
today, operating twice weekly (Mon, Fri) with up to 100 tons payload per
flight (up to 200 tons/week). Inbound cargo will focus on coffee, cut flowers
and fresh produce; outbound shipments will emphasize higher‑value goods
including new‑energy vehicles, photovoltaic equipment and lithium batteries.
Addis Ababa’s hub status allows transshipment to multiple African cities;
freight arriving in Chengdu can be distributed into western China and onward via
air, road and rail. The route establishes a new aviation logistics corridor
linking western China and Africa, expanding scheduled air cargo capacity for
perishables and strategic exports.
