China National Intellectual Property Administration and the Intellectual
Property Office of Singapore will extend the China–Singapore Patent Prosecution
Highway (PPH) pilot for five years from Sept. 1, 2026 to Aug. 31, 2031.
Applications with the same earliest date as the corresponding application
(priority date or filing date) may request PPH participation. PPH accelerates
patent examination through examiners’ work‑sharing. CNIPA has operated PPH
arrangements since Nov. 2011 and now maintains PPH cooperation with 38 patent
offices, facilitating faster overseas grants for Chinese applicants.
