At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts rose, with apples, lithium carbonate, and palladium rising over 4%, SC crude oil rising nearly 4%, Shanghai silver and soda ash rising over 3%, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), coking coal, glass, platinum, paraxylene, and asphalt rising over 2%. On the downside, rapeseed fell over 4%, container shipping to Europe fell nearly 2%, fuel oil fell over 1%, and soybean futures fell nearly 1%.
